Magen David Adom also reported that a 51-year-old woman suffered cardiac arrest during a rocket alert in the north of the country and died despite resuscitation efforts. A hospital in Haifa reported receiving 19 injured people, including two critically injured, after the rocket hit the city. A Magen David Adom paramedic reported extensive destruction on the streets near the impact site.
Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that a mosque in Haifa was also hit. Clerics who were inside the place of worship were injured. A video released by Saar purportedly shows damage to the building.
Iran also reportedly attacked two air bases in its latest rocket attack on Israel. The targets of the 17th wave of attacks included military installations, defense industry facilities, control centers, and the Nevatim and Hatzerim air bases, according to a statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Whether these targets were actually hit cannot currently be independently confirmed. According to Israeli reports, many people were injured.
Iran has fired more ballistic missiles, the Israeli military said. Air defense systems were deployed to intercept the missiles. Several areas of the country were reportedly under rocket alert. Residents in the affected areas were instructed to take shelter. They have since been allowed to leave.

The city is home to Iran's only nuclear power plant.
