(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kwak Min-seo = The Democratic Party of Korea evaluated the release of Korean activist Kim Ah-hyun, who was detained in Israel while heading to the Gaza Strip carrying relief supplies, as"a valuable result of the government's swift response and diplomatic efforts."

Democratic Party floor spokesperson Baek Seung-ah said in a written briefing that day,"We welcome the release of our citizens detained in Israel, and we deeply appreciate the dedication and hard work of diplomatic authorities."

Spokesperson Baek Won-sik emphasized,"The Democratic Party will further strengthen the permanent response system and emergency rescue system for the safety of citizens residing overseas, and will not spare any necessary support in close cooperation with the government," adding,"We will give our citizens confidence that the country will stand by their side until the end, no matter where they are in the world."
