Israeli Attacks on Iran

Conflict Analysis and Updates

Milliyet.com.tr / According to the news of the semi-official Mehr news agency based in Iran, Iranian intelligence forces have discovered specially-made Spike missile launchers equipped with internet-based automation and remote control systems designed to neutralize Iranian air defense systems.

These systems were reportedly used by Mossad agents to strike an internal blow against Iran.

WHAT IS A SPIKE MISSILE LAUNCHER? The launcher unit of the Israeli-made Spike anti-tank missile system. This lightweight, portable or vehicle-mounted system is used to launch precision-guided missiles. Spike missiles hit targets with high accuracy using infrared or electro-optical guidance and are generally effective against armored vehicles, bunkers or other fixed targets.

MOSSAD CELL HOUSE IN TEHRAN

On the other hand, Iranian media reported images of the house, equipment and vehicles of the Mossad sabotage cell that was seized in the south of Tehran.

"Security forces have identified a secret drone production facility in Shahr-e Rey, south of Tehran," the Tasnim news agency reported, adding that the three-story building was used by Israeli agents to assemble and store drones designed for use in terrorist operations. Authorities also found homemade bombs and more than 200 kg of explosives.

MOSSAD'S UAV TACTICS IN IRAN

By the time Israeli F-35 jets launched their attack on Iran early Friday morning, a lower-tech threat had already crossed the border and positioned itself to pave the way for the attack.

For months, Israel smuggled parts and ammunition for hundreds of quadcopter drones rigged with explosives into Iran in suitcases, trucks and shipping containers, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.

Small teams equipped with this equipment were positioned near Iranian air defenses and missile launchers. When the attack began, some teams neutralized the air defenses while others targeted the missiles as they emerged from their shelters and prepared to fire.

According to the Mizan News Agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian judiciary, a secret agent working for the Israeli intelligence service Mossad was executed following the final decision of the Supreme Court.

According to the news, Ismail Fikri was sentenced to death for transferring secret and sensitive information belonging to Iran to"enemies of the country" and was executed by hanging.

It was alleged that Fikri was in direct contact with two Israeli intelligence officers while working for Mossad. Arrested by Iranian authorities in December 2023, Fikri was quickly prosecuted and sentenced.

Mizan News Agency evaluated this execution by the Iranian judiciary as"a major intelligence blow to Israel's espionage network".
