Meeting Logistics and Preparations

The international news agency"Reuters" has published a list of Putin's demands for Ukraine. According to sources, the dictator's demands concern territories, sanctions, and the status of the Russian language in Ukraine:

  • Ukraine must withdraw its army from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions;
  • Russia will freeze the front line in the south (in the Kherson, Zaporizhia regions);
  • Moscow will return the occupied territories of Kharkiv and Sumy regions;
  • Ukraine will refuse membership in NATO, but will receive"security guarantees" outside the alliance;
  • Crimea will be recognized as part of Russia;
  • Some sanctions against Russia should be lifted;
  • The Russian language and the Russian Orthodox Church will gain official status.

Trump told Fox News on Friday that"an agreement has been reached in principle," but the final decision will be made by Kiev. President Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Washington on Monday for talks with Trump.

Kiev has already rejected any territorial concessions, especially in the Donetsk region, which is considered a key line of defense. European leaders have also indicated that Russia's official recognition of Crimea and concessions on the Donbas issue are unacceptable.
