Hamas said that resistance factions have completed counting the number of living prisoners and distributing them to locations within the Gaza Strip in preparation for their handover.
Safa News Agency quoted Al Jazeera as saying that delegations from the resistance and the Red Cross will meet tonight to agree on a mechanism for handing over the occupation's prisoners. The handover will take place via three different axes in the Gaza Strip.
The movement has been in intensive contact with mediators to refine the lists of Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release.
The agency noted that mediators are still working to reach a final settlement regarding the lists of prisoners, despite the occupation's refusal. This follows reports of Israeli intransigence regarding the names of some leaders of the prisoner movement.
