Russia's Perspective on US Weapons Pledge

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he is in talks with US President Donald Trump over a major deal. The proposal involves selling war-tested Ukrainian drones to Washington in exchange for Kiev buying US weapons, Reuters reports.

The information was provided in an interview with the New York Post.

Volodymyr Zelensky said his latest talks with Trump focused on a deal that would strengthen both countries' air capabilities.

"The American people need this technology, and you need to have it in your arsenal," Zelensky told the New York Post in an interview on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian leader explained that these drones were fundamental in defending his country against the Russian invasion, which has been ongoing for more than three years.

"We will be ready to share this experience with America and other European partners," he said.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine is also discussing possible collaborations in this area with other states, including Denmark, Norway, and Germany.

Speaking before parliament on Thursday, Zelensky announced that he was pursuing important agreements with the United States, without providing details, but he said that they would strengthen Ukraine's position.
