"It would be right for Slovakia  to join the new security system," Zelensky said after meeting with Fico.

"Slovakia supports Ukraine on its path to the European Union. This is very important," Zelensky wrote on the social network X.

"Equally important, bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, energy and infrastructure here, in our region, strengthens our peoples and our countries," Zelenskyy continued.

"I informed him (Fica) about our conversation with President Trump yesterday, about our cooperation with the leaders of the Coalition willing to support peace and ensure the security of Ukraine, as well as about the security architecture for Europe. And Slovakia will not stand aside. The Prime Minister told me about his contacts in China. A separate and important topic was Europe's energy independence - Russian oil, like Russian gas, has no future," Zelensky added.
