Countries that have not signed a trade agreement or received a tariff letter from the Trump administration will hear from the United States about trade terms by midnight US time.
The White House announced this on Thursday.
– The trade group has been working around the clock to try to reach an agreement with as many countries as possible, but if they have not heard from us yet, they will do so in the form of a letter or a presidential order by midnight today, says White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Trump has so far announced that Norwegian goods will receive a 15 percent tariff. Norway hopes to negotiate this down to 10 percent.
According to TV 2, a possible customs agreement between the US and Norway is almost complete. What is missing is approval from Trump.
