One person died and another was injured when a motorcycle and a tow truck waiting in the right lane of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway were struck by a truck from behind, on the Nurdağı section. It was learned that the deceased was Mehmet Mesut Karslıoğlu, a former Kahramanmaraş Bar Association President.

The accident occurred late at night on the Nurdağı section of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway. Allegedly, Mehmet Mesut Karslıoğlu parked in the right lane to retrieve a bag that had fallen while riding his motorcycle. Meanwhile, a tow truck with another vehicle parked in the right lane. The truck coming from behind, unnoticed, hit the motorcycle and the tow truck. A fire broke out in the vehicles following the accident, and Mehmet Mesut Karslıoğlu was trapped between the tow truck and the motorcycle. Health, highway gendarmerie, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report. While arriving firefighters extinguished the fire, Mehmet Mesut Karslıoğlu, who was trapped under the vehicles, was pronounced dead. A seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital after receiving first aid.

It was learned that Karslıoğlu, who died in the accident, was a lawyer and previously served as President of the Kahramanmaraş Bar Association. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
