US Attack on Iran

Diplomatic Reactions

Following several volleys of Iranian ballistic missiles against Israeli territory, Israel carried out numerous airstrikes this Monday, hitting targets with enormous practical and symbolic significance in Iran. From the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard in Tehran to the famous clock that the regime of the Islamic Republic placed in Palestine Square to count down the time left in the life of what it calls the" Zionist entity."

"For every attack against the Israeli rearguard, the Iranian dictator will be punished, and the attacks will continue with force," warned Defense Minister Israel Katz, referring to the dozen missiles fired this morning by Iran, without causing any deaths, in the south, center, and north of the country.

In response, Israel has carried out one of its most intense attacks since the start of the offensive , hitting what remains of Iran's nuclear program and the assets of the Revolutionary Guard, including those dedicated to controlling and repressing its citizens.

On the one hand, Israel has bombed access to the Fordow underground nuclear plant , attacked this weekend by the United States in an intervention described in Israel as"historic" in view of the possibility that it will put an end to the Iranian nuclear program after almost 30 years of surveillance, 10 days of air strikes and 20 years of sabotage actions by the Mossad."A few moments ago, the aggressor enemy attacked the Fordow nuclear site again. There will be no danger or threat to the citizens," reported the provincial headquarters of Crisis Management in Qom.

"We attacked the entrances along the route to prevent access to the facility and prevent them from transporting or extracting enriched ore," Israeli sources confirmed, also acknowledging the attack on an Iranian military vehicle approaching one of the entrances. Both the US and Israel are still analyzing the results of the weekend bombing of Fordow, ordered by US President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, in a wave of attacks in Tehran, the Air Force has targeted headquarters of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's regime, particularly the Revolutionary Guard, including bases, barracks, and ministries such as the Ministry of the Interior and Security. The wave of attacks is believed to have killed several dozen members of the force.

The most talked-about and important target has been the entrance to Evin Prison in the Iranian capital. According to initial reports, the entrance was reached by drones. This is one of the great symbols of the regime's repression and is where opponents and foreigners are imprisoned. For years, the opposition and international NGOs have denounced the torture of political prisoners.

"Long live freedom, dammit!"

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar reacted by referring in Spanish to the famous slogan of Argentine President Javier Milei, whom he quotes in the message on the X network next to the photo of Evin:"We have warned Iran again and again: Stop attacking civilians! They continued, even this morning. Our response: Long live freedom, damn it!"

Iranian authorities have acknowledged the attack as a "Zionist aggression" on parts of the prison complex in the Evin neighborhood but have clarified that they have the situation under control.

Another target attacked is the headquarters of the Basij, a militia formed by volunteers and dependent on the Revolutionary Guard, responsible, among other missions, for suppressing protests in the theocracy established with the Islamic Revolution of Khomeini in 1979.

True to form, Katz announced that his army was attacking"with unprecedented force regime targets and government repression forces in the heart of Tehran, including the Basij headquarters, Evin Prison for political prisoners and regime opponents, the Destruction of Israel clock in Palestine Square, the Revolutionary Guard's internal security headquarters, the Ideology headquarters, and other regime targets."

From the official perspective, Israel maintains its two main declared objectives of the so-called Operation Rising Lion launched on June 13 (neutralizing the threat of the nuclear and ballistic missile plan) and does not add another, but would applaud the fall of the Khamenei regime as a result of it. A possibility that was also mentioned by the US president, Donald Trump, when last night he said:"If the current Iranian regime cannot Make Iran great again, why wouldn't there be regime change? CRUM!!!", he wrote on his Truth Social platform, changing the US to Iran (Make Iran Great Again) in the movement related to making his country greater.
