Russia's Deputy Representative to the United Nations revealed on Saturday that the Security Council presidency had stalled and postponed the meeting on Gaza.

"The Panama mission, which is chairing the mission, stalled and postponed the meeting on Gaza until Sunday for unclear reasons," Dmitry Polyansky said.

Polyasensky confirmed on Friday that"many missions, including the Russian one, tried to convene the Council session on Friday due to the seriousness of the issue, but this did not succeed."

And on Saturday, he said:"The Panamanians, for reasons that are not entirely clear, decided to stall and postponed the meeting on Israel's actions in Gaza until 10:00 New York time (17:00 Moscow time) on Sunday, August 10."

On Friday, the Pakistani mission to the United Nations reported that the UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Israel's plans to take control of the Gaza Strip, at 22:00 Moscow time on Saturday.
