In a post made by Gideon Sarr, he claimed that Iran wanted to carry out a strike against Israeli citizens in Cyprus. The Israeli Foreign Minister pointed out that the strike was thwarted thanks to the cooperation between Cypriot security authorities and those of Israel.

Earlier, Cypriot authorities confirmed that they had arrested a British man on suspicion of terrorism-related and espionage offences. Local media reported that the suspect had been monitoring a British RAF military base in nearby Akrotiri, as well as a Cypriot base, since mid-April.

It is not known at this time whether the man is connected to what Sarr claims.
