Saudi Arabia expressed its concern amid the official declaration of famine in Gaza, in light of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report and the official declaration of famine in the Gaza Strip.

The Kingdom also condemned the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation army against unarmed civilians.

It said that the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza"will remain a stain on the international community".

The crisis is a direct result of a lack of mechanisms to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its repeated crimes, the statement added.

This is particularly true of the permanent members of the Security Council,"unless it quickly intervenes immediately to end the famine and stop the war of genocide and crimes committed by Israel against Palestine", Saudi Arabia's ministry said in a statement.
