The Israeli airstrikes, which began early Friday, targeted Iranian nuclear and military facilities, killing dozens of people, including Tehran's top military commanders and nuclear scientists.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to strike"every target of the ayatollah's regime," and Iran responded with a barrage of missile strikes.
While Trump acknowledged that he knew about the Israeli operation before it began, he reiterated on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday morning that the US"had nothing to do with the attack tonight."
"If Iran attacks us in any way, shape, or form, they will be met with the full force and might of the United States armed forces on a scale never before seen," the US president said in the recording.
Trump added:"We can easily reach an agreement between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict!!!"
The US president on Friday urged Tehran to make a deal or prepare to face "even more brutal" attacks from Israel.
During his first term in 2018, Trump unilaterally withdrew from an international agreement with Iran to limit its nuclear activities and reimposed sanctions on Tehran.
