- Russia said it had to be part of any discussion on security guarantees for Ukraine and downplayed the likelihood of an imminent summit with President Volodymyr Zelensky, tempering hopes for a quick peace deal.
- Poland said Russia was again provoking NATO countries, after an official said an object that landed overnight in a cornfield in eastern Poland may have been a Russian version of the Shahed drone.
- Ukraine said that work was underway on establishing the military component of security guarantees for Ukraine as part of a settlement of the war with Russia. Earlier President Donald Trump said the US may offer air support to Ukraine but would not put troops on the ground.
