Calgary, Can. Following the announcement that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is withdrawing from the Group of Seven (G7) summit tonight, the press team of the Mexican Presidency stressed that President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo's agenda"continues: remember that she has very important bilateral meetings with India, Canada, the European Council, Germany, and her intervention in the G7 plenary session, where she will make a relevant statement."

The Mexican president will not attend the G7 dinner.

Sheinbaum Pardo is currently holding a meeting with Canadian business leaders.

Part of the delegation that was to accompany her to the bilateral meeting scheduled for this Tuesday with Trump is at the same hotel where the meeting is taking place.

Present are Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente; Secretary of the Economy Marcelo Ebrard; Mexican Ambassador to the United States Esteban Moctezuma; Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar García Harfuch; and Mexican Representative to the World Bank Diana Alarcón, among others.

Mexican media representatives remain outside the Sheraton Hotel awaiting a statement.

Outside the hotel, a Mexican family tries to greet the president.
