American football player Travis Kelce is engaged to his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift - the couple announced the news, and according to photos, the proposal took place in front of a gate decorated with flowers.

The post read: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

The couple has been together since July 2023. Their relationship began while Swift was on her world-famous Eras tour. During a stop in Kansas, Kelce tried to give Swift her number on a friendship bracelet, a ubiquitous accessory on the tour. When that didn't work, he opened up about his crush on the singer on his own podcast.

After the announcement, the pair got in touch and began dating shortly after. Their relationship became official in September 2023, when Swift showed up at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Chicago Bears, the Guardian recalled the beginnings of their relationship.
