German Chancellor Friedrich Merz sharply criticized Russia for strikes on Ukraine, which he called terror against the civilian population.

He stressed that over the past few days, Russian forces have"deliberately and ruthlessly" attacked the civilian population of Ukraine using numerous drones and cruise missiles.
Friedrich Merz added that these attacks were"terror against the civilian population" and "anything but not a proportionate response" to the "very precise" Ukrainian strikes on Russian military airfields.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
In recent days, there has been a series of powerful attacks by Russian occupation forces on Ukrainian cities. On Monday night, Ukraine suffered its largest night-time drone attack since the beginning of the war. The Air Force reported that the enemy used almost 500 air attack vehicles – 479 drones and 20 cruise missiles.
