Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the government is closely monitoring developments in the region.

The Prime Minister stated that the government condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli attack on the sisterly State of Qatar, stressing that this attack comes at a time when both Egypt and Qatar are making intensive efforts to mediate a ceasefire in Gaza. He considered what happened yesterday a blatant challenge to international laws and norms and a clear violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar.

Madbouly indicated that Egypt will continue to coordinate its efforts with Qatar and regional and international partners to support regional stability, stressing that Egypt stands with Qatar in confronting such attacks and is working to mobilize international support to de-escalate the situation and protect civilians.
