Gabriel Attal, Deputy Group Chairman of President Emmanuel Macron's party, Rönesans, argued that parliament should solve its own problems without reflecting on the French, and that bringing down the government would damage French confidence in politics.

"YOU CANNOT TURN YOUR DEFEAT INTO VICTORY"

Boris Vallaud, Deputy Group Chairman of the opposition Socialist Party (PS), reiterated that his party would not give a vote of confidence to the government, holding Emmanuel Macron, whom he described as the"defeated" president, responsible for the political crisis in the country.

"Mr. Prime Minister, you will not be able to turn your defeat into victory," Vallaud said, adding that the socialists were ready to form a government.

Far-right activists call on Macron to dissolve Parliament

Marine Le Pen, Deputy Group Chair of the far-right National Rally (RN) Party, emphasized that Macron should dissolve the National Assembly after the vote of confidence.

Le Pen criticized Bayrou's government, saying,"You can't mourn the bad (policies) you've implemented in front of the cameras."

Marine Le Pen argued that Macron would "bring the country to a standstill" if he did not dissolve Parliament.

On the other hand, Laurent Wauquiez, Deputy Chairman of the ruling party's center-right Republican Party (LR), emphasized that if the government collapses, they will definitely not support a potential government formed by the Socialists if it adopts the political goals of the far left.

Mathilde Panot, Deputy Chair of the France Unbowed (LFI) Group, noted that for the first time in the 5th Republic period, a government fell because it could not receive a vote of confidence, and said,"All those who try to save Macron will fall with him."
