Over the past few hours, planes from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Germany and France have dropped 90 humanitarian aid packages with food in the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

This was announced by the Israel Defense Forces, reports Times of Israel, Ukrinform reports.

The Israeli military assured that the airdrop of humanitarian aid was carried out in accordance with directives from the political echelon and within the framework of cooperation between Israel and the countries involved.

The airdrop of aid is part of a series of actions aimed at improving the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, the military added.

The Israel Defense Forces will continue to work to improve the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, together with the international community, while refuting false claims of deliberate starvation in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces said.
