The Israeli army said on Sunday evening that it attacked an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran.

The Israeli military described the attack on the refueling plane as"the most far-reaching blow" since the beginning of the operation against Iran.

He added in a statement:"About 2,300 kilometers away, the Air Force attacked an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran."

He continued,"The Air Force is working to achieve air superiority throughout Iran."

Iranian state media reported that Mashhad Airport and its runway were not damaged by the Israeli strike.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said on Sunday that"Israel is working according to a systematic plan to destroy the Iranian nuclear threat, its ballistic missiles, and Tehran's strategic capabilities."
