247 - Former President Jair Bolsonaro"was dragged" into the facts that involve him in the nucleus 1 of the coup plot, said this Wednesday (3) his lawyer in the First Chamber of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Celso Sanchez Vilardi. Bolsonaro is a defendant and is under house arrest in Brasília as a result of the process.

During the Supreme Court trial, Vilardi also stated that there is not a single piece of evidence linking Bolsonaro to the coup attempt. He also accused Jair Bolsonaro's former aide, Mauro Cid, of lying.

"There is not a single piece of evidence linking the president to the Green and Yellow Dagger, Operation Luneta, or January 8th. In fact, not even the whistleblower [Mauro Cid], who I maintain lied, ever said 'participation in Dagger, in Luneta, in the World Cup, on January 8th.' Not even the whistleblower. There is not a single piece of evidence," he said.

The Supreme Court's First Chamber began judging former President Bolsonaro and seven other allies for the coup plot on Tuesday (2). They are part of the crucial core of the complaint filed by the Attorney General's Office (PGR).
