The Atlas Lions gradually arrived at the Mohammed VI Football Complex on Monday to begin their preparations for the two friendly matches scheduled in Tangier, against Mozambique on November 14 and then against Uganda on November 18.

For this training camp, Walid Regragui has called up a squad of 27 players. Among the notable inclusions are the return of Romain Saïss, who missed previous camps, and the first call-up for Anass Salah-Eddine, the PSV Eindhoven left-back. Two major absences, however, are Achraf Hakimi and Nayef Aguerd. The former is suffering from an ankle injury sustained in the Champions League, while the latter is recovering from pubalgia. Although unavailable for the two matches, the Olympique de Marseille defender has arrived in Maâmora, presumably for further examinations and coordinated monitoring between the national team's medical staff and his club. The objective is clear: to maximize his chances of recovering in time for the Africa Cup of Nations.

These next two matches will also mark a symbolic moment: the Moroccan public will be able to see their Lions again on the occasion of the official reopening of the Grand Stade de Tanger, which has been completely renovated in preparation for the AFCON and the 2030 World Cup.
