By the start of the heating season, 115 thousand houses and almost 22 thousand social facilities have already been prepared.

As Ukrinform reports, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this in Telegram following the results of the Congress of Local and Regional Councils of Ukraine, which took place in Uzhhorod.

"The 2025/2026 heating season is stable. The state of readiness of the infrastructure in the main sectors is over 80%," she wrote.

Svyridenko specified that 115 thousand houses and almost 22 thousand social facilities have already been prepared. The government plans to complete all necessary measures by the start of the season.

"We have also launched a program for 238 frontline communities with a population of 6.6 million people. For families who heat their own homes, there will be targeted support - UAH 19,400 for firewood and compensation for 100 kWh of electricity per month," she added.

As Ukrinform reported, in the draft State Budget for 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to provide UAH 36.5 billion for supporting communities.
