Ukraine's defeat in the war with Russia would be a geopolitical catastrophe that would overshadow everything the presidency of Donald Trump That is why the US should maintain and increase military aid to Kyiv. The newspaper writes about this in an editorial New York Post, which is called Trump's favorite publication.
The authors of the publication directly address"Mr. President", trying to convey to his consciousness things that are generally obvious.
"We know that you understand that the main obstacle to peace in Ukraine is Russian aggression. You said you were 'disappointed' by your conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and that you 'don't think he wants to stop.' After your call [for peace], he launched the largest drone and missile strike of the entire war. So why, Mr. President, is your administration punishing Ukraine?" the journalists write.
They note that the"root causes of the conflict," which the Kremlin publicly insists on eliminating, is the very fact of the existence of the state of Ukraine.
The journalists write that aid to Ukraine does not harm America in any way, but, on the contrary, stimulates the US economy and gives the American military valuable information about new technologies on the battlefield. However, if Putin wins, it will strengthen China, whose rise Trump is so concerned about, and weaken the US itself, the authors of the article warn.
"The fall of Ukraine is not a catastrophe that can be blamed on someone else or explained away as something insignificant. It will destabilize the world, weaken America, and negatively affect your presidency. Do not back down," the newspaper writes.
