Kyiv plans to receive at least $1 billion from allies every month to purchase American weapons to wage war against Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a joint press conference in Kyiv with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, writes Reuters.

"Norway has joined the PURL program, which allows it to purchase weapons in the United States and replenish this program with at least a billion dollars every month," Zelenskyy noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that Norway can contribute to Ukraine's security guarantees in matters of air defense and maritime security.

Recall that Norway in 2025-2026 will allocate $8.45 billion to Ukraine According to the country's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the funds will be allocated within the framework of the Nansen program. In particular, Norway will co-finance two Patriot air defense systems.

And Germany is ready to allocate annually financial support for Ukraine 9 billion euros. They currently plan to provide such support over the next two years, said German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil.
