Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, and former strategist Stephen Bannon are among the figures featured in a new series of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein's archives, released Friday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee. The photos reveal the breadth of the wealthy and powerful circle in which the convicted sex offender moved.
None of the 19 images, which do not indicate the date they were taken, show anything illicit or reveal any previously unknown connections, but they do provide details about his lifestyle and the level of connections he maintained.
Among the released photos is one showing Donald Trump surrounded by six women, whose faces have been obscured, at what appears to be a Hawaiian-themed party: they are wearing leis, the traditional flower garlands of the archipelago. Another shows packets of condoms for sale for $4.50 (about €4) featuring the US president's face and the slogan"I am huuuge."
In another image, Trump, then a real estate developer with close ties to the financier, is seen sitting with a blonde woman whose face has also been obscured. Another photograph shows the current president at a different party talking to a woman, with Epstein standing behind him.
The 19 photographs are part of the nearly 95,000 documents that the Committee on Government Oversight and Reform has received from Epstein's archives as part of its investigation into the pedophilia ring organized by the financier and his connections.
“It’s time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends,” said the ranking Democrat on the Committee, Congressman Robert Garcia, in a statement. “These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world. We will not rest until the American people get the truth. The Justice Department must release all the files now.”
A law passed by Congress last month requires the Justice Department to release the files of the pedophile, who committed suicide in prison in 2019, by December 19.
