Israel violates ceasefire: Five killed in Gaza, child shot in West Bank

Friday, October 31

Israel has killed five more Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, amid repeated violations of a US-brokered ceasefire agreement reached earlier this month.

On Friday, a local source said a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces in Jabalia in the northern part of Gaza.

Another Palestinian man, identified as Mahmoud Suleiman al-Wadiya, was killed by Israeli snipers east of Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, the largest city in the strip. His brother was also injured in the attack.

Reports said the third man was killed by Israeli fire in Gaza City, without elaborating.

Also on Friday, Hamdi al-Barim and Mohammed Salem Qadih, succumbed to injuries they sustained during Israeli strikes in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza over the past few days.

Israeli forces continued to bomb buildings in eastern Khan Yunis on Friday, despite the truce.

According to the health ministry, Israel has killed at least 218 Palestinians and injured 598 others since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10.

Palestinian teen killed in West Bank raid

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, on Thursday night, triggering clashes with Palestinians.

The regime’s troops used live fire against the Palestinians, injuring the 15-year-old child, Yamen Samed Youssef Hamed.

Yamen was later declared dead at a hospital, as sources said Israeli forces initially blocked an ambulance from reaching him for a while, preventing the boy from receiving timely medical care.

Since Israel launched a genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, the regime’s forces and settlers have also intensified their attacks in various parts of the West Bank, killing at least 1,062 Palestinians and injuring about 10,000 others. More than 20,000 others, including 1600 children, were also arrested in the raids, according to official figures.
