During the Russian night attack, dozens of Shahed were shot down by interceptor drones.

This was announced in a video address by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrinform reports.

This day started off difficultly – more than 500 Russian strike drones and missiles. It was difficult, but a significant part was still shot down. Unfortunately, there were seizures. There were also important results today from interceptor drones. Dozens of Shaheds were shot down by interceptors, - he said.

According to the President, currently the production of interceptor drones is being scaled up to the maximum. And drone operators are undergoing special training.

As a reminder, on June 17, the president announced on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada that Ukraine is working on developing Shahed interceptor drones to protect its cities and asked international partners for funding for this.
