One of those responsible for preparing the massive missile strike on July 8, 2024, on Ukraine, in particular on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, was the head of the Russian Special Engineering Service of the 121st Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division, Major Denis Alekseevich Sheinov.
He was responsible for organizing the technical preparation of X-101 air-launched cruise missiles for use by strategic aircraft, a military intelligence source told Ukrinform.
Sheinov was born on January 30, 1978 in Saratov, has a passport (series 6302 number 906672) issued by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kirovsky District of the city of Saratov on March 15, 2002.

Sheinov graduated from the Saratov Higher Military Engineering Command School of Missile Forces in 2000. According to intelligence, in 2018 he performed special tasks in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic and has several medals. The SBU determined that the strike on Okhmatdyt was carried out by Russian forces with a Kh-101 strategic cruise missile. This conclusion was confirmed by Bellingcat analysts, as well as experts in nuclear weapons and missile technology.
