Two days before this presidential message, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also sent his congratulations to King Mohammed VI."I wish to congratulate His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the adoption by the UN Security Council of the resolution supporting Morocco's autonomy plan for the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty," he declared, adding that this adoption represented"the triumph of determined and long-term Moroccan diplomacy."

These two messages are consistent with the ongoing rapprochement between Rabat and Tel Aviv since the resumption of diplomatic relations in December 2020, within the framework of the tripartite agreement concluded with Washington. Since then, exchanges between the two countries have intensified, encompassing the economy, security, and culture.
This stance from Tel Aviv also confirms the growing support of the international community for the Moroccan autonomy plan, which is considered by several powers as the realistic and lasting solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara.
