Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed his claims that Tel Aviv will work to achieve all of the war's goals and return the bodies of all Israeli hostages from Gaza.
In a speech on Thursday morning, he claimed that the events of October 7 united Israelis, adding:"The battle is not over yet, and anyone who dares to launch attacks on Israel will pay a heavy price."
He added,"We are determined to complete the victory that will change our lives for years to come. Israel is on the front line of the confrontation between boundless cruelty and brutality and humanity," he said.
A cautious atmosphere prevails in the Gaza Strip, despite the passing of several days since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas came into effect. Israeli violations continue, and accusations are being exchanged regarding compliance with the terms of the agreement.
Field data indicates that the calm remains fragile, with sporadic shelling and gunfire occurring in several areas of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, mediators continue their efforts to ensure the truce is maintained and prevent its complete collapse.
US President Donald Trump said he would consider allowing Israel to resume military operations in Gaza if Hamas refused to abide by the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
He added in statements to the American network CNN last night:"Israeli forces could return to the streets as soon as I say the word... What is happening with Hamas will be quickly corrected."
