The open internal dispute between President Javier Milei and Vice President Victoria Villarruel entered a new chapter this Sunday when the president shared a series of critical messages against his former running mate.

Milei reposted on her social network X account various questions about Villarruel that came from other users, some from her closest circle, such as the director of Audiovisual Productions for the Presidency of the Nation, Santiago Oría; or from related media, such as La Derecha Diario.

“In addition to being a traitor, she is a DEMAGOGUE and a BRUTE in economic terms,” wrote the “filmmaker” and publicist Oría, who in 2023 was the publicist for the electoral campaign that featured Milei and Villarruel together.

He also shared some tweets from Alejandro Fargosi, a lawyer who assisted the government in drafting the bill known as Ficha Limpia (Clean Record) (which ultimately died). The lawyer criticized the"Senate populism" and criticized Villarruel, who had said that pensions could be adjusted with the funds allocated to the Intelligence Secretariat (SIDE).

"In addition to corruption, the Argentine disaster was caused by the caste that believes mathematics and economics are subordinate to their voluntarist populism. 2 + 2 = 4. All the tremendous things Milei is achieving are precisely because she is decent and works on economics, not political nonsense," he wrote.

The President of the Nation also retweeted a note from La Derecha Diario headed with the following legend: “The traitor Vice President Victoria Villarruel confirmed that she did not lift the illegal session of the Senate because she supports the Kirchnerist coup laws that break the fiscal surplus: “If you want to save, end the expenses of the SIDE.”

And another from the right-wing site PanAm Post Español, which published a critique of the vice president accusing her of miscalculating, signed by Marcelo Duclos, one of the President's biographers.

“The day has finally arrived when Vice President Victoria Villarruel began sharing her arguments with Kirchnerism. After complaints from many La Libertad Avanza voters on social media against her treacherous attitude toward the president who appointed her, Villarruel pointed out that raising the pensions for retirees shouldn't be “so terrible,” Duclos wrote, adding that “no one is going to put her forward as a presidential candidate, if that's what she's speculating about.”

The latest dispute between the country's top political authorities erupted after last Thursday's Senate session, in which the government saw the opposition unanimously approve laws increasing pensions and creating an emergency for people with disabilities.

President Javier Milei called Victoria Villarruel a “traitor,” and the vice president responded harshly on social media. “If there is balance, then helping the most vulnerable shouldn’t be so terrible. The point is, a retiree can’t wait, much less a disabled person. Let her save on travel and the SIDE and that’s it,” the official wrote, in response to a comment accusing her of wanting to upset the fiscal balance.

In another comment on her Independence Day post, where a citizen complained that her job is alongside the president, she responded:"A president who can't even greet the person with whom he came to power? Make that complaint to him, I'll never lose my education."

"When the president decides to speak and behave like an adult, I'll be able to know what his policies are, since he doesn't speak," he added along the same lines in another interaction.

In addition, she slipped in another question to Milei when responding to a criticism that accused her of having betrayed the Executive's convictions:" The president should not betray what he said because, if he does, the rest of us should point it out to him ," the vice president maintained.

During the exchange with Instagram users, which took place early this morning, Villarruel also joked about why the president did not choose Karina Milei or the deputy Lilia Lemoine to take her place:"I don't know why he didn't put his sister or 'Limones', who you like so much."
