The Israeli military announced that it carried out an airstrike on an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad airport, in eastern Iran.
As reported, this is the most remote attack since the start of the operation that Israel has launched against military and nuclear targets inside Iran.
No details have been released about the damage or possible casualties, and there has been no reaction from Tehran so far.
Tehran: No damage at the airport
According to Iranian state media, the Israeli attack on Mashhad airport did not cause any damage to the facilities or the runway.
The airport is operating normally, according to the same sources.
