An Emirates flight from Dubai to Hyderabad, India was the subject of a ‘potential security threat’ on Friday, December 5.
The airline followed standard security procedures after being alerted by Indian authorities and the plane landed safely.
The PTI news agency reported that Rajiv Gandhi International Airport received a bomb threat for the EK526 Dubai to Hyderabad flight.

The plane landed safely and passengers disembarked normally following standard security procedures.
A statement from the airline said: “On December 5, the Indian authorities alerted us to a potential security threat on Emirates’ flight EK526 from Dubai to Hyderabad.
“Standard security procedures were implemented by the relevant local authorities with full co-operation from Emirates’ ground teams in Hyderabad, and passengers disembarked normally following security checks.
“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain the Emirates’ highest priority”.
