The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with the Assistant to the US President, Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, during which they discussed military assistance to Ukraine and sanctions policy.
Stefanchuk reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The parties discussed the continuation and acceleration of military assistance to Ukraine, including the supply of air defense systems, ammunition, and critical weapons. They touched on the topic of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia —in particular, against banks, the shadow fleet, oil and gas revenues, and the nuclear sector.
They also discussed minimizing the supply of technological components that Russia receives through third countries and uses to produce drones and missiles. They noted the global threat of Russian aggression and the importance of a common deterrence policy.
"I am grateful for the clear position of the United States in support of Ukraine and for signals of readiness for consistent actions that will strengthen our defense and bring a just peace closer. Strong cooperation between Ukraine and the United States is a contribution to the security of all of Europe and the entire democratic world," Stefanchuk emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Kyiv with US President's Special Representative Keith Kellogg.
