Polish broadcaster Tvp World reports that the regular joint Russian-Belarusian exercises, called Zapad 2025 , which begin tomorrow and involve tens of thousands of soldiers, have prompted Poland to decide to deploy"around 40,000" of its own troops near its eastern border."Poland has been preparing for the Zapad 2025 exercises for many months," said Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Defense Minister."The Polish army has conducted exercises in which more than 30,000 Polish soldiers, as well as soldiers from the NATO alliance, took part in order to adequately respond." “Let us remember that Zapad 2025 is an offensive exercise,” Tomczyk added.
