Palestinian medical sources announced Saturday evening that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,897, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.
The sources added - according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) - that the death toll has risen to 155,660 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
She noted that 70 martyrs (including 8 who were recovered) and 385 injured people arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours, while the death toll and injuries since March 18, after the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 10,362 martyrs and 43,619 injured.
She explained that the number of aid victims arriving at hospitals over the past 24 hours reached 26, with 175 injured, bringing the total number of livelihood victims arriving at hospitals to 1,924, and the total number of injured to 14,288.
Over the past 24 hours, Gaza Strip hospitals recorded 11 deaths due to starvation and malnutrition, including one child, bringing the total number of deaths to 251, including 108 children.
