A large-scale shooting occurred in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on the 28th. According to local media reports, the shooting killed 6 people.

According to the British media outlet The Mirror, a gunman opened fire on several security guards at Or Tor Kor, a popular fresh food market near a police station in Bangkok's Bang Su district, on the 28th. Local media outlets reported that the gunman then shot himself while sitting on a chair in the center of the market. Thai media outlet Matichon reported that six people were killed: four security guards, one vendor, and the gunman.

A video of a man opening fire has gone viral online, showing the gunman entering the market, followed by multiple gunshots. Local media have leaked photos of the alleged suspect, showing him wearing camouflage shorts, a black T-shirt, a white baseball cap, and a backpack slung across his chest. Officials have yet to release any statement.

The gunman, 61, worked for the same company as the security officer who was shot. He reportedly shot his former colleague and then committed suicide.
