Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that Ukraine plans to sign an agreement with the United States on drones.
She said this during a conversation with journalists on Friday, July 18, Ukrinform reports with reference to Reuters.
"We plan to sign an agreement on drones with the United States. We are discussing investments in expanding the production of Ukrainian drones from the US side," Svyridenko said.
She clarified that this is about the purchase of a large batch of Ukrainian drones.
Svyrydenko added that the political decision on the deal was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, and that officials are already discussing its details.
The US will buy battlefield-tested Ukrainian drones in exchange for Kyiv's agreement to purchase a certain amount of weapons from America.
