The world is closely following the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and is waiting for an answer to the question of whether America will intervene in the operation that Israel has started against Iran.

Donald Trump released a message to the public through his spokesman that he will make a decision on entering the conflict" within two weeks".

Caroline Levitt told reporters that Trump relayed his response directly to her.

- Based on the facts that there is a chance for negotiations that could be held with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision on entering the conflict in the next two weeks, Trump said in a statement reported by Levitt.

If diplomacy fails to solve the problem, it seems that the Americans will have no choice but to intervene.

It remains to be seen how the Iranians will react to this"ultimatum" by Trump.

Russia warned America not to interfere

Today, Russia warned Washington not to interfere in Israel's war against Iran with any"military intervention" because there would be "unpredictable negative consequences".

While US President Donald Trump does not rule out the possibility of the US entering that war, the spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, told reporters in St. Petersburg:

- We would like to warn Washington that any military intervention in this situation would be an extremely dangerous step with truly unpredictable negative consequences.

Trump has not ruled out the possibility of the US, an ally of Israel, going to war to disable the nuclear program of Iran, which it says does not want to build nuclear weapons, but Western countries and Israel doubt that.

Russia once had good relations with Israel that have deteriorated due to Russia's offensive against Ukraine and Israel's war against the Palestinian movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

In recent years, Moscow has become significantly closer to Tehran and in January signed a Comprehensive Agreement on Strategic Partnership to strengthen ties, especially military ties, which does not include a pact on mutual defense.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that Tehran did not ask for military assistance from Moscow in the war with Israel.

Putin, who lost a key ally in the region with the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power in December, declined to comment on the threats some Israeli leaders have made against Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping spoke on the phone for an hour, the Kremlin announced today, condemning Israel's attacks on Iran.

Putin's diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov told reporters that Moscow and Beijing believe that"the solution to the current situation cannot be achieved by force, but only by political and diplomatic means."

As reported by Xinhua, Xi told Putin that the first priority is to push for a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

"Force is not the right way to resolve international disputes," said the Chinese president, who called on all parties to the conflict,"especially Israel," to "cease fire as soon as possible to avoid a re-escalation of the situation, and to resolutely prevent the spread of war."

- Putin again offered to mediate between Iran and Israel, and"the Chinese leader advocated such mediation, believing that it could help calm the current situation - said Ushakov.

However, Israel and Iran did not respond to that proposal for a week, and it was criticized by the European Union and French President Emmanuel Macron, while Trump flatly rejected it on Wednesday and recommended that Putin"mediate himself" and focus on Ukraine before offering mediation to the Middle East.

- It is not up to Trump to accept or reject - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today and added that it should be decided by the countries that are"directly involved in the conflict", but they are silent about it.

The Israelis claimed during the day that a decision would be made within 24 to 48 hours

Israel is still waiting for a decision on whether US President Donald Trump will join the strikes on Iran's nuclear program, an Israeli official said during the day.

- They are expected to join, but no one is pressuring them. They have to make their own decision. We will know in the next 24 to 48 hours - the official estimated, but it seems he was wrong.

Defense Minister Israel Katz is in full coordination with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his threats to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the official added after declaring that the ayatollah"must cease to exist":

- Katz always makes his statements in accordance with what Netanyahu asks of him. He doesn't do it alone.
