Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hopes that US President Donald Trump will still provide Ukraine with American long-range Tomahawk missiles.

As Ukrinform reports, he said this in an interview with NBC News.

According to Zelensky, during the meeting on October 17, the US president did not tell him"no" about the transfer of Tomahawk missiles, although he did not say"yes".

"It's good that he (Trump - ed.) didn't say 'no,' but as of today he hasn't said 'yes,'" the head of the Ukrainian state noted.

Zelensky also added that Russian dictator Putin is"truly afraid" that the US could provide Ukraine with long-range missiles that would affect the course of the war.

As Ukrinform reported, on Thursday, White House President Donald Trump had a conversation with Russian leader Putin, after which he announced plans to meet with him in Budapest for talks.
