Announcement of Trump-Putin Meeting

The Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary shared Volodymyr Zelensky's statement regarding the Russian-American meeting on its social page. The Ukrainian head of state reminded that the meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska is very far from the  war that is being waged against their people. It is taking place on their land and it still cannot be ended without Ukraine.

The Ukrainian President once again stated that his country is ready for real solutions that can bring peace. “Any solution that is against us, any solution that is without Ukraine, is also a solution against peace. They will not lead to anything. They are unviable solutions, they will never work. We all need real, living peace that people will respect,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He stressed that Putin did not believe in the Ukrainian people, which is why he made his hopeless decision and attacked Ukraine. According to him, this was the main mistake of the Russian president, that he ignored the Ukrainians. Zelensky reminded that he believes in his people, because the Ukrainians are strong and will defend themselves. He emphasized that they deserve peace, but all partners must understand “what a worthy peace is”.

The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question is contained in the Ukrainian Constitution. No one will and cannot deviate from this. Ukrainians will not hand over their lands to the invaders. Ukraine is ready for real solutions that can bring peace

– warned Volodymyr Zelensky.

He concluded his speech by saying that they are ready, together with Donald Trump and all their partners, to work for a real and lasting peace,"which will not collapse under the wishes of Moscow."
