An aid ship bound for Gaza with climate activist Greta Thunberg on board has docked off the coast of Israel. The vessel's passengers have been detained. The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced, using the Swedish image, that the vessel had docked in Ashdod and that its passengers were being examined by doctors, reports Sky News.

The sailing ship Madleen set sail from Catania, Sicily, on June 1st to deliver aid to Gaza and break the Israeli blockade.

Israel on Tuesday decided to expel the group of activists, including Greta Thunberg, who are on board the boat. Those on board are waiting at the airport for their flights home. Tel Aviv says anyone who does not sign the deportation document will be prosecuted.

Greta Thunberg forced to watch videos of Hamas atrocities

We previously reported that Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz ordered the Jewish state's military to prevent the ship from reaching shore and to"take all necessary measures." He also told climate activists to "turn back because they will not reach Gaza."

Thunberg was joined by Rima Hassan, a French member of the European Parliament of Palestinian origin, who was also on the ship, which is operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. The politician is barred from entry due to her opposition to Israel's policies towards the Palestinians.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, the Israeli defense minister has ordered the release of a video taken during the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack to captured activists, which contains uncensored footage of people being slaughtered and bodies being mutilated.

The official later said the delegation had been shown the footage and praised his country's defense forces for taking swift action around the ship, a move Hamas condemned as a violation of international law.
