On August 11, through her Instagram account, she confirmed the death of Miguel Uribe Turbay with a heartfelt message: “You will always be the love of my life. Thank you for a life full of love, thank you for being a dad to the girls , the best dad to Alejandro (…) Wait for me, when I fulfill my promise to our children, I will come find you and we will have our second chance.”
Miguel Uribe Turbay and María Claudia Tarazona got married in 2016 and since then, she has focused on taking care of her family and supporting him in all his political projects, during his campaign for Mayor of Bogotá and the Senate of the Republic.

Winston González, media strategist for Uribe Turbay's campaign, revealed in an interview with EL TIEMPO that when they met, the council candidate proposed that María Claudia Tarazona work on his campaign, to which she agreed, and although her presence was discreet, she gradually gained an important role in Miguel's life.
“María Claudia assumed great leadership. She became an advisor to Miguel, his great motivator,” recalled Winston González, who added that when the campaign ended and he was elected councilman, they grew apart, as she was in the process of separating. It was some time later when they reunited and began their relationship, becoming “inseparable.”
“I began to discover a very fascinating side of Miguel: the maturity with which he assumed two very important things that he was experiencing in his life at the same time: one, the management of a position like that of councilman, and at the same time a relationship with a woman who had three daughters,” María Claudia Tarazona recounted in a video published on YouTube in August 2019.
Also in 2019, Alejandro, the four-year-old son of Miguel Uribe Turbay and María Claudia Tarazona, was born.
