This week, during the 7th Summit of Energy Ministers of CELAC, President Gustavo Petro said that former Trade Minister Luis Carlos Reyes deceived him and ignored a presidential order.

According to the head of state, Reyes had ignored the order he had given him to stop exporting coal to Israel. Therefore, he called him"an accomplice to the genocide in Gaza."

The former minister turned the page and celebrated the fact that the head of state had gotten Colombians talking about intermediate microeconomics.

I think all economics professors celebrate that the president has made the country talk about intermediate microeconomics. But instead of talking so much about the president, it is key to talk about the country we want starting August 7, 2026,” Reyes said in a video that he shared through his account on the social network X, this Friday, July 25.
