The Israeli occupation army justified its violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, after shooting at Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip.

The army said in a statement that a number of what it described as suspects had been spotted crossing the yellow line and allegedly approaching its forces operating in the northern Gaza Strip, claiming that this constituted a violation of the agreement.

The army claimed that its forces attempted to repel them, but they did not respond and continued to approach the forces, which opened fire on them to eliminate the threat.

He pointed out that reports of militants infiltrating the forces' area were incorrect.

According to the statement, the occupation army called on Gaza residents to adhere to its instructions and not approach the forces deployed in the area.

The Baptist Hospital previously announced that it had received five martyrs from Israeli occupation fire in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
