US President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused both Iran and Israel of failing to comply with the ceasefire.
Before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump admitted to reporters that he was disappointed that both sides were continuing to attack.
"They [the Iranians] are not respecting it [the ceasefire], but Israel is not respecting it either," the White House host admitted."I am not satisfied with Israel."
Around the same time, Trump posted on his own social media site, Truth Social:"Israel, don't drop those bombs. If you do, it will be a huge [ceasefire] violation. Recall your pilots. Now!"
US President Donald Trump reportedly announced on Monday evening that Iran and Israel had reached an agreement on a "complete and final" ceasefire.
Trump made this announcement on Monday around 6 p.m. (Tuesday around 1 a.m. Latvian time).
The US president said that Iran would cease fire first, followed by Israel 12 hours later. In another 24 hours, the 12-day war would be over, the White House official said.
Iranian state television confirmed on Tuesday morning that a ceasefire had come into effect.
Iranian media then announced that the ceasefire had come into effect at 7:30 a.m. Tehran time (7 a.m. Latvian time).
Later, the Israeli government also confirmed on Tuesday that it had agreed to the mutual ceasefire proposed by Trump.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his cabinet overnight (...) to announce that Israel has achieved all the objectives of Operation Lion's Leap," the government said in a statement, adding that both the nuclear threat from Iran and the threat posed by its ballistic missiles had been eliminated.
