Senator Iván Cepeda addressed his victory in the Historic Pact referendum over Carolina Corcho, whom he acknowledged as his opponent."The Historic Pact is undoubtedly the largest, most influential, and most powerful force in the country," he stated.

Cepeda celebrated the result they achieved at the polls."It's the democratic force that has been measured at the polls with the citizens." And he even spoke of representing the second "progressive and change-minded" government in Colombia.
The senator referred to his programmatic proposal and spoke of three "revolutions" for a possible government of his if he becomes president.
He sent other messages to the Frente Amplio candidates."I am not going to go to debates to insult other pre-candidates, nor to threaten or denigrate each other. I challenge you to talk about challenges, concepts, and ideas for the country, and not about threats, insults, and attacks on individuals, and even less so on President Gustavo Petro, who deserves all the respect in Colombia and around the world," Cepeda affirmed.

He told the other related political forces that he invites them to join the Broad Front to try to win in the first round with the candidate who is elected in that consultation in March 2026.
"It's not an electoral alliance; it's a political force that we want to build on programmatic, not bureaucratic, commitments," said the Petrista presidential candidate.
Cepeda came to the defense of President Gustavo Petro, calling him his"guide." He also asked for respect as a leader among other governments, amid the feud he has had with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The senator thanked the more than 2 million citizens who voted in the Historic Pact referendum and the trust they placed in him with their votes.
Cepeda especially thanked the farmers, indigenous people, Afro-descendants and, in general, the Colombians who live in rural areas.
He again questioned the Registry Office because in the morning Cepeda had criticized that several polling stations were supposedly moved in rural areas to municipal capitals, which according to him made it difficult for several supporters to vote.
The senator thanked the other pre-candidates who withdrew their aspirations to support him, as well as his team.
He also took a dig at the National Electoral Council (CNE) and asked them to recognize the legal status of the Historic Pact, especially after the result they achieved.
